“Pivot to Video”, 4-Day Work Week, and Kitty Litter Be Gone

“Pivot to Video” and Your Brand Will Shine Brighter

The sense of growing older. Being proud of your accomplishments. Seeing something that scares you. Impactful marketing always elicits a feeling. As consumers continue to digest video content on mobile platforms, there are three ways to help your brand shine all the brighter. According to Forbes, incorporating these strategies contributes to success.

1. Stories convert.

If you haven’t already logged onto Instagram and started posting Instagram stories, you’re missing out. For the past two years, this feature on Instagram continues to be a business tool that, left untapped, means you’re not cashing in on the conversion you could.

Ephemeral content is only around for so long. Like frames in a Snapchat or Instagram (IG) story, these “stories” only last for 24 hours before they vanish into the ether of the Internet. “Get it while you can” is one way to push a sense of urgency, but consumers consume when they’re pulled in by a story. Business features allow IG users to connect directly to products and services with one easy swipe up or a link that is left live in the bio.

If you’re worried you don’t have an in-house marketing guru to polish your stories to be one-of-a-kind and totally in-line with your brand, leave that thought at the door. Authentic content (meaning: you just be you and in the moment) is what actually leaves a mark.

2. Use long form & short form.

Opposites attract. Snippets are easily shared for customers of yours who are on-the-go at all times, but from time to time also dive into more detail. IGTV and Facebook Live is one way to share “breaking news” while stories are shorter snippets of data that can be fun and entertaining.

3. Don’t be all about yourself.

Social media isn’t always about the online presence. It’s about who you are off-line that matters, too. What truly drives a brand forward? The way that brand also includes others. Create a hashtag to encourage subscriber participation and highlight the manners in which your business gives back and sets itself apart from the pack.

Breaking News: The 4-Day Work Week Just Might Work

If you could work only four days a week and yet still get paid for working the whole five days, would you work harder?

Results are in from a trial run in Wellington, New Zealand, and, it turns out, you would!

According to the New York Times, “the experiment was so successful that [a New Zealand firm] hoped to make the change permanent.”

The firm who trialed out the unprecedented thought of a 4-day workweek manages trusts, wills, and estates. Among the 240 employees, there was actually a boost in productivity. In fact, researchers attached to the experiment found a 24 percent improvement in work-life balance, especially since employees were able to get back to doing what they really loved on their hours off, which included hanging with their families, working out, and cooking more.

When they came back to work, employees were energized, more creative, and actually on time.

What does this go to show?

If time is relative, it’s about working smarter, not longer. Working well may no longer be about the hours you log at your desk—it’s about the work you actually do while you sit there.

Kitty Litter Be Gone, Meet CitiKitty

Apartment living in the big city can be close quarters, whether or not there is a kitty litter box underfoot. Yet, if you’re looking to nix the litter, there is another way for your feline friend to do their business.

This is no joke.

As seen on Shark Tank, CitiKitty is a patented “cat toilet training system.” What’s so great about a toilet-trained cat? You’ll save time scooping out the litter. Your apartment will smell considerably “different” and you won’t have to pay for and lug a heavy bag of kitty litter up your seven flights of stairs when you get back home at the end of the day.

In fact, this isn’t a new idea that recently bloomed in the entrepreneurial sector. CitiKitty is an idea that hatched 13 years ago, and they have reviews from thousands upon thousands of happily transformed cat-owners who now couldn’t imagine life any other way.

Toilet training cats may seem impossible (and an improbable business scheme), but who’s laughing now? CitiKitty’s market is global. The revolutionary CitiKitty system is available in the United States, Canada and in the UK.
